About the Project

The “Mumkindik” project has been operating since 2013 and is dedicated to advancing pediatric surgery in Kazakhstan.
We invite leading international specialists to perform complex surgeries, organize masterclasses, and train Kazakhstani doctors.
This is not only about providing assistance to children with rare and complicated conditions, but also about introducing advanced medical techniques into the country’s healthcare practice.

What Makes «MUMKINDIK» Unique?

Cutting-edge technologies that are transforming healthcare — introducing advanced techniques previously unavailable in Kazakhstan
World-renowned surgeons in operating rooms and classrooms — training Kazakhstani specialists and sharing expertise
Completely free assistance for children and their families — we cover all expenses

Complex surgeries performed for the first time in Kazakhstan:

  • Transposition of the pectoralis major muscle to the biceps position in children with arthrogryposis.
  • Transposition of the trapezius muscle to the deltoid position in children with Duchenne-Erb obstetric palsy.
  • Surgical treatment of congenital hand deformities in children under 3 years old.
  • Use of Fassier-Duval telescopic intramedullary rods and D. Paley’s techniques for the treatment of tibial pseudarthrosis — 34 surgeries performed, 39 rods implanted, and the program continues, with 17 more surgeries planned for 2025.
  • Cone reconstruction of the tricuspid valve for Ebstein’s anomaly.
  • Removal of multiple cardiac rhabdomyomas.
  • Radical correction of Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary valve prosthesis.
  • Hip joint endoprosthesis in adolescents with severe orthopedic conditions
Thanks to “Mumkindik,” children receive a chance for a full and active life, and Kazakhstani healthcare gains new opportunities for diagnosing and treating complex conditions.
We are building a system where advanced surgical techniques become an integral part of Kazakhstan’s healthcare.
Mumkindik — a chance for a brighter future for every child.
